You can’t have failed to notice the continuing rise of ‘hygge’. This Danish word has no English equivalent, but let’s just call it cosiness. Think candles flickering in windows during winter, or a shared cup of coffee and fika (that’s cake to you and me) with friends or home made crafts made with love and shared with family.
The other trend that is rising in popularity are monthly subscription boxes. Little presents to yourself or a friend which contain a myriad of surprise goodies just waiting to be unpacked. One Cornish Blogger has combined the two and voila! (or Se! for our Danish friends) a monthly subscription box can be yours for the princely some of £10.
The Original Hygge Box
I received mine last week and in order to review it properly, I videoed myself opening it (another things which is big in ‘box-land). You’re spared me chatting – believe me, that’s a good thing – so there’s some nice hygge soothing music instead.
