The laid back sophisticated vibes of Bustopher Jones have been tantalising us with their amazing food and vast array of interesting cocktails throughout 2017, but with 2018 brings a new set of delights from this great bar and restaurant on Lemon Street.
To celebrate dry January and honour the designated driver, bored of the humble soft drink, Bustopher’s has released a range of non-alcoholic cocktails using the increasingly popular Seedlip; so called the non alcoholic gin, which Amanda and I were lucky enough to get a sneak a taste of, puddings and all, more of which can be found here..
We were also treated to an insight into their delicious new lunch menu and take away options, excitingly you can now take the fresh local flavours of Bustopher Jones back to your desk, find that rare sunny day to enjoy lunch in the great outdoors or impress clients with a tasty lunch option or two.
Faced with a difficult decision of what to chose on their lunch menu, which satisfies most lunch cravings and works by choosing one thing from a great selection of seasonal salads, meat, fresh fish, veggie and cheese options, topped off with an order of sides all for a reasonable price of £10 to take away and cooked whilst you wait at the bar (or of course you can sit in and enjoy this menu too!), perhaps sampling a non-alcoholic cocktail or two.
Why not choose to go super healthy with their Roasted Cauliflower, tomato, caper and dill salad topped with chargrilled chicken and side of freshly made bread which was fresh and flavourful, or treat yourself with hearty rainbow carrot, salsify, pine nut and salsa verde with balsamic and garlic cured venison fillet with some skinny fries, all freshly prepared, worth every penny and a delight to take away with you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our “Bustopher’s in a box” take away lunch, and will most definitely be trying the other delicious things on the menu over a meeting or two, and perhaps when the sun eventually does shine again.
